Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, straightforward answers about how I build websites and manage marketing setups.

What counts as a "page"?

A distinct section of your site with its own URL, like Home, About, Services, or Contact. Most small business sites fit comfortably in 3 pages.

What happens if I stop the maintenance plan?

Nothing happens to your site. It lives in your own Wix account, so it keeps running as long as your Wix plan is active. You can edit it yourself, book individual updates with me, or hire someone else, and you can remove my access any time.

Do I need to buy anything separately?

Yes, two things, both paid directly to Wix or your domain provider: a Wix plan (needed to use your own domain) and a domain name. Prices change, so check Wix's pricing page. I'll walk you through both and help you set them up in your own name, so you own them.

How fast can I get a site live?

Typically about a single week from the time I receive your baseline business information and details, sometimes even faster depending on scope.

Do I need to provide the written words and content for the site?

You don't have to write it all yourself. You give me the basic details about your services, pricing, and business history, and I will structure and polish the text so it reads professionally and targets your ideal clients.

Who handles hosting, and is it an extra cost?

Wix hosts your site as part of your Wix plan, which you pay Wix directly. My maintenance plan covers my time (edits, updates, and upkeep), not Wix's fees.

Can I use my existing domain name?

Yes. If you already own your domain through GoDaddy, Namecheap, or anywhere else, I'll help connect it to your site once you have a Wix plan, which Wix requires for a custom domain.

What platform is my site built on?

Your site is built in Wix Studio, a professional platform made for business sites. I design the layout around your business, then move the finished site into your own Wix account. Wix handles the hosting and platform updates, so you aren't juggling plugins or server upkeep.

What exactly does "Local SEO upkeep" include?

It means keeping your Google Business Profile accurate, checking that your site's service-area and local search details stay correct, and making updates when local search best practices shift.

Can we change or add things to the site later on?

Absolutely. If you are on the monthly maintenance plan, text edits, image swaps, or changing phone numbers are entirely included, so just drop me a text or email. If you want a major redesign or big structural additions later, we can quote it easily.

Why do you manage Google Ads with a flat fee instead of a percentage?

Many agencies charge 15% to 20% of your total ad budget, which creates a conflict of interest because they make more money simply by convincing you to spend more. My flat fee means my goal is strictly to make your ad spend highly efficient, no matter the budget scale.

Is there a contract or a minimum commitment for the maintenance plan?

No long-term contracts. The maintenance plan runs month-to-month, and you can opt out or transition away at any time if your business needs shift.

Will my website work properly on phones and tablets?

Yes, completely. Every site is built using responsive design, meaning it automatically refits, scales, and balances perfectly on iPhones, Androids, tablets, and desktop setups alike.

How do we get started?

Simply call, text, or email me. We will take about 10 minutes to review what you need, ensure the scope aligns perfectly with your goals, and outline the setup plan from there.

Account setup guides

Plain-English steps for the accounts you'll own. I'm happy to walk you through any of these by phone or FaceTime.

How do I create a Wix account?

Go to wix.com, click Sign Up, and use an email address you control and want tied to your site. Confirm the email, then send me the address you used. This is a regular Wix account, and it's the one that will own your site.

How do I accept my website transfer?

Look for an email from Wix with the subject "Wix Website is Being Transferred to You." Click Accept Transfer and sign in (or sign up, using the same email I sent the transfer to). Review the details and click Next. If your site includes a paid plan or domain, you will enter your billing information and then your domain contact information before clicking Complete Transfer. If it arrives with no paid services, you just accept and sign in. Invites expire, so accept soon, and if yours does expire I will send it again.

How do I add you as a collaborator on my Wix site?

In your site dashboard, go to Settings, then Roles & Permissions, and click Invite People. Enter the email address I send you and choose the role I tell you to pick, usually one that lets me edit and publish but not manage billing, delete, or transfer your site. I will accept the invite by email.

How do I remove you as a collaborator?

Go back to Settings, then Roles & Permissions, find my name, choose Remove, and confirm. My access ends right away. Only the site owner can do this, and your site, domain, and content stay yours. If you want me back later, just invite me again.

How do I buy a domain name?

A domain is your web address, and it is a separate purchase from your Wix plan. You can buy one through Wix or from a company like GoDaddy or Namecheap. Buy it with your own account, in your own name, so you own it outright. If you already own one, you can connect it instead. You need a paid Wix plan before you can use a custom domain, and some yearly plans include a free domain for the first year. Prices vary, so check at checkout.

How do I purchase a Wix plan?

Each Wix site has its own plan. In your site dashboard, look for the upgrade or plans option, pick a plan, and enter your payment details. Until you do, your site stays on a free Wix address. After upgrading, you still need to connect your domain, because it does not switch over automatically. Not sure which plan fits? Ask me before you buy.

How do I give you access to my Google Ads account?

Usually I send a link request from my Google Ads manager account to your account's customer ID (the 10-digit number shown in your account), and you approve it in Google Ads. If we use a direct invite instead, click the Admin icon, then Access and security, enter the email address I give you, choose an access level, and send. Either way, the account stays in your name, you keep Admin access and your own billing, and I never need your card.

How do I remove your access to Google Ads?

In Google Ads, click the Admin icon, then Access and security. Find my name or my manager account and click Remove access in the Actions column. It takes effect immediately and the account stays yours. Before removing anyone, make sure you have your own Admin access so you are never locked out.
